This site is dedicated to cataloguing, satirizing and commenting on the weird, crazy, ignorant, hypocritical and appalling things that LIBs say and do. There's also a "Good Ideas" page with food for thought on ways to improve upon the conservative message and overall "platform" so as to ensure that the socialist-LIBs are relegated to a permanent, minority-party status in the U.S.
Learn the facts. Learn history. Embrace this nation's founding principles of individual liberty and limited government. Support sound capitalism by identifying and punishing those who break the rules or the laws. Don't bail them out with trillions in newly-printed, taxpayer dollars. The government's job is to protect the citizenry, not "provide for" it, and not to bail out failing companies, individuals or organizations. Don't undermine the entire capitalist system by inserting a strong dose of Marxism directly into its heart, then turn around and blame "capitalism" for not working very well. LIBs seek to confiscate wealth (and liberty) by creating and propogating dependence on government. We must reject this notion outright as a people, the American people, and return to the founding principles.
Note that I draw the important distinction between a liberal and a LIBeral. A classic American "liberal" is one who thinks with an open, "progressive" and opportunistic mind. He hopes for the best in humanity and wants to help people wherever and whenever possible. He's also an individualist and a realist, who believes in free-market principles and the power and righteousness of individual liberty. This is "Jeffersonian liberalism", if you will, a strong belief in the ability of a society to flourish best when individuals are free to succeed and/or fail for themselves, with a government-body that simply serves to protect them, not provide for them. That is the United States of America as we have known it, as our fathers and fore-fathers (and mothers) have known it, where most people choose to succeed and live a productive, collaborative life. And we love it.
But LIBs (note caps now) have taken over the country via the Democrat Party and all of their Soros-type organizations and friends the world over and are in the process of tearing it down limb by limb, pillar by pillar. They are a hard-left, global movement who want to "change America" and are either misguided about the "benefits" of socialism or are, in fact, intent to take America down a rung or two, or three ...on purpose. The irony seems to escape them, for example, that it was none other than Barney Frank and Chris Dodd who "co-wrote" the FinReg bill, and decided to keep Fannie and Freddie OUT of it, to boot! Of all people...the two poster boys for everything that went wrong in the housing market / "financial crisis". Frank, thwarting all efforts at tighter regulation while his closest friends were living high off the hog at Fannie Mae and his constituents were lining up at the trough of "free" money. And Dodd, exploiting his power and influence to get a "VIP" mortgage for himself from his buddy and fellow Democrat, Angelo Mozilo at Countrywide, as he and his colleagues repeatedly blocked, in fact MOCKED the very concept of tighter regulation time and time again.
These are the people, along with their friends on Wall Street, who abused and undermined the financial system all along, starting with the Communist...er, I mean "Community Reinvestment Act", legislating more and more cheap or free money to themselves and their constituents. The "Culture of Debt" had taken off in '93 under the auspices of "helping the little guy". These are the same Washington D.C. Democrats who continuously thwarted all attempts at regulation during the GWBush years, when it mattered...before the meltdown of '08. It would all be quite a hoot if it weren't so alarmingly dangerous. The fact that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd led the "reform" effort and co-wrote the bill speaks volumes about how these people (LIBs) operate, what they want and what they're willing to do to get it, whether they have to jam their statist agenda down the throats of Americans or not.
